Technological change is reshaping work across industries. Employees, managers and practitioners are being asked to use new tools, adapt to new systems, collaborate differently and execute in more complex environments. For many organizations, the need is not a fully custom executive experience. It is practical, repeatable capability-building configured to the company’s industry, workforce and operating context.

Workforce Upskilling supports two paths: organizational cohort-based programs for teams, managers and practitioners, and individual catalog-based courses and certificates for learners seeking flexible professional growth.

For Organizations: Corporate, Group and Team Upskilling and Management Training

Corporate and team-based upskilling is designed for organizations that want to build capability across a defined employee group. These are not open-enrollment offerings. They are configured for a specific company, team, function, or industry context using proven curriculum, workshops and learning formats that can be adapted to the organization’s needs.

Programs may serve managers, first-level supervisors, technical teams, functional teams, practitioners or early-stage leaders. The emphasis is operational and practical: building skills that employees and managers can apply in their current roles.

Each program is configured around the organization’s environment, audience and objectives while drawing on UCF’s broader faculty and continuing education capabilities.

Examples may include technical upskilling in areas such as simulation tools and 3D environments; AI skills workshops for managers, general managers or staff; management development programs; first-level supervisor development; project management; organizational change workshops; cybersecurity awareness and readiness; healthcare technology; and digital systems adoption.

For Individuals:
Catalog-Based Workforce Upskilling

For individual learners, UCF provides access to a published Workforce Upskilling catalog with ready-made courses, certificates and online learning options. These offerings support professional advancement, certification, career development and personal growth for learners seeking flexible paths to build new skills.

How Workforce Upskilling Differs from Executive Education

Executive Education is highly customized for senior leaders and executive teams facing strategic leadership, governance or transformation questions. Workforce Upskilling is configured for managers, practitioners, supervisors and teams who need practical capabilities they can apply in the near term. Both are part of STLI’s work, but they serve different audiences, decision levels, time horizons and price points.
