Technology is transforming how organizations operate, compete and lead. The challenge for many organizations is no longer simply whether new technologies are available. It is whether leadership teams can govern them, design around them and build the organizational capability required to create real value.
Through STLI, UCF focuses interdisciplinary faculty expertise on the strategic, operational and workforce questions created by technological change. The school helps organizations build capability at the intersection of technology, leadership and organizational performance.
The Challenge
Organizations across every sector are investing heavily in artificial intelligence, data systems, automation, simulation, advanced analytics, and other emerging technologies. Yet the most difficult questions are rarely technical alone. Leaders must understand how those technologies reshape decision-making, governance, organizational design, process efficiency, team effectiveness, and workforce capability.
Technology alone does not transform organizations. Leadership, strategy and human capability determine whether technology investments create real value. STLI exists to help organizations navigate that transition.

How STLI Engages
STLI collaborates with organizations to explore complex questions and build capability at the intersection of technology, leadership and organizational performance. Our work takes four primary forms; each designed for a different organizational need.
| Executive Education | Industry Solutions | Embedded Faculty | Workforce Upskilling |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customized learning for senior leaders and executive teams navigating technology-driven change. | Faculty-led discovery and solution work for defined strategic, operational or capability challenges. | Deep faculty engagement for leadership teams exploring domain challenges they cannot yet fully frame. | Configured cohort and catalog pathways that build practical capability across teams, managers, practitioners and individual learners. |
Our engagement with UCF provides highly valuable insights that helped us look at our operational challenges from a fresh perspective. The collaboration is both rigorous and forward leaning, and it enables us to translate ideas into tangible next steps for our business.”

A Collaborative Model

Complex organizational challenges rarely fit within a single discipline, function or technology. STLI gives organizations a focused way to access the breadth of UCF’s faculty expertise through a coordinated, collaborative engagement model. By bringing together expertise across technology, business, leadership, organizational change, human systems and applied industry domains, STLI helps partners address the specific challenges they are trying to solve. This allows organizations to translate university insight into practical capability, clearer strategic decisions and stronger organizational performance.
